Glimmera
The competition is about storytelling and designing an entertaining and educational experience to deliver a certain issue to variety of audience. A prompt is given to develop our idea:
“It’s the year 2124, and some of the world’s issues, that used to be prevalent on Earth, have been tackled or eradicated. As these issues may be common throughout the Milky Way, Planet Earth is sharing the knowledge of these solutions to a wider audience to foster the exchange of ideas in the Milky Way.”
In the final showcase, we should be delivering the story and the experience through a 8 minute presentation.
To immerse the audience into the world, the animation is played at the beginning of the presentation to give a brief overview of the world...
“In the silent river of stars there is a discreet yet subtle planet floating in the Milky Way just as another celestial star. But hidden within the planet, there lies an extinct volcano. The serene pond in the crater has given the rise of life.
However only one type of flower blooms on this planet, creating an unchanging landscape.
Until one day, the Golden Disc from Earth accidentally landed on Glimmera, transforming the life there from lacking variety to boundless creativity.
Tourists from Earth are now on a cultural exchange tour to the world Glimmera. This cultural exchange symbolizes the mutual growth that results from embracing different perspectives and learning from one another.”
